The Cerise 4 & 6-Core Workstation
The Cerise 4 & 6-Core Workstation is aimed at serious consumers or professionals who are looking for a reliable workhorse to manipulate large graphics or audio visual files on a daily basis. This group includes photographers, videographers, architects and engineers.
The chassis has been designed for exceptional ease of use and almost silent operation. Data, video and audio ports which have traditionally been relegated to the back of the computer are now on top of the computer enabling easy access — no more scraped knuckles as you scramble behind the desk for extra USB or firewire ports. This has been achieved by turning the motherboard 90° from its traditional position so that the data and audio ports which are usually found at the back of the computer are now on top. 
This allows exceptional cooling since three large 14 cm fans draw cool air into the case from the bottom of the chassis. The air naturally rises upwards as it cools the components inside the case and is then expelled from the top of the chassis. This is a much more logical layout than cases which force the airflow to move horizontally from the front to the back of the case. The chassis also includes sound insulation foam on all available internal surfaces so that the end user can concentrate on his or her work instead of their computer
Every component in the workstation has been specifically chosen for exceptional reliability and durability. In other words, when the user turns their workstation on at 9a.m. every morning, we at Cerise know we have done our utmost to ensure that their workstation will be instrumental in a productive day.
To achieve this, the Workstation itself is built with extremely high quality components from the power supply right through to the flash card reader. Hardware RAID is available and this enables the hard drives in the RAID array to read and write data at more than twice the speed of a single drive. In addition, since hardware RAID carries out its own processing without offloading it to the CPU, the performance of the CPU is unaffected.

- Enterprise class SATA drives that have been employed throughout this product range, whether they are used singly or in RAID arrays.
The best hard drive configuration for this class of user is one hard drive for the operating system and apps and a separate hard drive or RAID array for data manipulation. This configuration has multiple benefits.

- Our tests show that hard drives without the operating system read and write at least 20% faster than drives with the operating system.
